Axamer Lizum

Axamer Lizum the „White Roof“ of the olympic region Innsbruck

Two-times the Olympic Games (1964 and 1976) were held in the Axamer Lizum and this is easily explained: back then – as well as today – snow conditions and the mountain panorama are stunning. Just 19 km from Innsbruck a high alpine winter landscape with 10 cable cars and ski lifts and about 40 km of perfectly groomed slopes are to be found. Due to the altitude and the additional snow making facilities the Axamer Lizum is one of the snow-guaranteed ski areas in Austria.

Skier or snowboarder, racer or the pleasure loving skier, freerider or slope skier the Axamer Lizum offers something for everybody; and who needs more than that; checks out the snow park, the Race Corner, the Speed Check or increases his adrenaline in the extensive freeride area (300 hectare).

The Axamer Lizum does not only offer a lot of sports, but also gastronomic highlights. In addition to all the cosy and rustic huts, all around the resort, the panoramic restaurant Hoadl Haus 2,340 m above sealevel offers a unique mountain panorama and everything from diverse Tyrolean specialities to modern kitchen.
